Maxoptions is a binary options broker located at Baarerstrasse 75, 6300 Zug, Switzerland and was founded in 2014. Maxoptions provides new SpotOption platform which includes Forex/CFD’s alongside binary option trading. It particularly deals in Forex and CFDs. Maxoptions offer MetaTrader 4 and uses the Live Trader trading app for mobile and tablets. The minimum deposit for new accounts is $250.
According to public forums, the company manipulates the spreads and moves the funds without the client’s permission. Allegedly the broker is guilty of blocking withdrawals and cheating it’s clients by planning the bid. The spreads of a currency pair usually range from 1-3 Pips. However, in a controlled market, these pips can go as high as 6-8. Based on reports the broker Maxoptions also manipulates the price during high volatile conditions.
On 27 April 2015 the Company Maxoptions.com received a warning from the Swiss FINMA. And it was stated, “The public should be especially wary of providers who have seriously breached supervisory regulations and subsequently been the subject of a FINMA ruling”. It is always necessary to verify whether the broker is regulated or not by any regulatory bodies. And it is always better to investigate before investing the money.
On a public forum, traders have registered a lot of complaints concerning Maxoptions and informs that their website is down and not in use. By the shear fact that Maxoptions are not regulated by any authority, FINMA advises to avoid Maxoptions.com broker as your money is not safe with them.
